Sandra Doyle

How shocked and saddened we were to hear that Sandy had passed away. We both started work at WHO in 1970 and we eventually ended up sharing an office together in the Mental Health Unit. Two Northerners - me a Geordie and Sandy from Yorkshire!! I could always rely on her help during our meetings. She was always SO EFFICIENT. I left after 5 years to have our first child but we kept in touch and shared lots of good times on and off throughout the years. My sincere condolences go to her brother Pete, his wife Jan and to Nicola and her family. Sorry we couldn't make it to the funeral. RIP dear Sandy.

Condolences to all the family, it was such a shock for everyone. For 35 years Sandra was a great friend. We had a lot of fun, and certainly a lot of laughs together. It was such a shame we lost contact over the past 5 years but she was always in my thoughts.

I was very sad to hear of Sandra’s passing and send my sincere condolences to her family and friends. Sandra and I enjoyed many hikes in the Jura area and also went on memorable cruises. She was a lovely work colleague and friend with a great sense of humour.

O Sandra, m'dear darling, I'll miss you! Yet sweet memories of you will always remain in my heart. All that divinely refreshing chuckling together and those thoughtful exchanges over so many years will never fade from my memory. Rest well at last, dear one. Condolences to your brother and family.

Sandra, I remember you well and our interesting discussions. You were a mover and shaker with your excellent organisational skills and wealth of knowledge of WHO. Sending you loving thoughts and light for your onward journey. Pam

I was so sad to learn that Sandra had suddenly passed away and I send my heartfelt condolences to Sandra’s family and to her close friends. Although we lost contact after our respective retirements from WHO I often think of the happy times we shared, her wide knowledge and her infectious chuckle which somehow made “everything alright”.
